Hi Dr Jones,
I found your contact details on your website Persona Naval Press.
Hopefully you can help me, or know someone who can, to identify the RN insignia and service ribbons of a relative.
Attached is a photo of William Alfred Marfleet 1879-1935 who I understand served aboard the HMS Royal Oak in the Battle of Jutland in 1916.
- What is the insignia on his collar please?
- Can you identify his service ribbons?
Any help that you can give is greatly appreciated.
